"can I leave now?" Summer asked Sheriff Peterkin

"yes, go" she told the girl who quickly joined John b's side "see you Mrs. Thornton" Peterkin waved at Summer's mom

So the story is that John b and Summer ended up getting caught and at the Sheriff's station with the girl's mother being the one getting them out of there.

"I won't even ask, Summer" Cynthia Thornton said looking at her daughter

"We were just hanging out mom, doing teenager things, you know?" the blonde girl sighed

"I don't care Summer, but if I were you I'd just wish these news didn't get to New York" Cynthia said disappointed

"They won't, it was nothing major" Summer tried to calm down her mother. The woman was more concerned about her daughter's reputation in New York than her safety, unbelievable.

"I sure hope so" she said now scanning John b "and who are you? I thought you were still dating that sweetheart Cameron" Cynthia asked glaring at the brunette boy in front of her

"I broke up with Rafe two years ago, mom" Summer said rolling her eyes "and this is John b, we've been friends since like second grade" she explained

"Never heard of you, now can you go so I can speak with my daughter?" Cynthia asked John b rudely

"Sure Mrs. Thornton" he replied leaving mother and daughter alone

"I don't know who he is but I expected more from you, look at his clothes!" Cynthia exclaimed looking at John b who was a few metres ahead of them waiting for Summer so he could say goodbye

"I'm not dating him, mom" Summer sighed already tired of her mother

"Good. Now I've been meaning to tell you that I'm leaving for two days to the mainland and tonight Topper is staying at Kelce's, so can you please stay home and watch the house?" Cynthia asked her daughter

"Yeah, sure mom" Summer nodded

"Okay, see you in two days!" Cynthia got in her car and left in direction to the ferry

Summer inhaled and joined John B who was now sitting down on a bench waiting for her. He smiled when he saw her coming his way, smile she gladly returned.

"She didn't even gave me a ride home. Mother of the year" Summer rolled her eyes

"I have to go to the Cameron's, I can give you a ride" John B offered and Summer gladly took it.

Summer and John B did not talk the whole ride to the girl's house, they just listener to music. But the silence was comfortable, they enjoyed each other's presence. Finally, they pulled to the girl's house and she sighed, she didn't want him to go.

"Do you want to spend the night?" She suddenly asked making him throw her a confused face

"What?" He asked her confused.

The thing is that besides Kie, the Pogues had not spend many nights at the Thornton's mansion as Cynthia and, most important, Topper were always there and let's just say they didn't enjoy their company as much as Summer did.

"My mom is out in the mainland and Topper is staying at Kelce's tonight, so I kind of don't want to spend the night alone at the Cluedo mansion" she joked making John B laugh. Some years ago JJ made a joke about how big her house was and since then they've always called Summer's house the Cluedo mansion "I mean, we can go surfing, then have dinner and then just...hang out. We have generators so we can watch TV or whatever" she asked him hoping he would say yes

"Yeah, I'll come here as soon as I finish at the Cameron's" John b smiled at Summer

"Great! so, see you later!" She called out taking her keys and opening her front gate
