The Pogues went back to The Château to open the package, they were all dying to see what was inside it. John B had been really quiet that night, but who could blame him? They had just found what probably was the last clue to find out what happened to his father.

Meanwhile, Kie was sitting on the couch, Pope was looking at JJ making himself a sandwich in disgust while Summer laughed at him.

"That bread had mold on it three days ago" Pope looked at JJ in disgust

"I'll just pull off the bad parts" JJ said taking away the most moldy parts of the bread, but it was all so bad "Plus, mold is good for you. It's just a natural organism" JJ said still pulling off the bad parts of the bread

"Oh, I dare you to eat that" Summer smirked at JJ seeing the state the sandwich was

"Watch me, S" He said taking a bite of the sandwich and immediately gagging afterwards making Summer laugh hard

"I see it was good, J" she smirked at JJ and joined John b, who was opening the package

John b ripped open the package and a map of Kildare Island was the first thing to come from it.

"Holy shit" he said admiring the map

"X marks the spot" Summer said passing the map to Pope

"Longitude, latitude..." John b said before noticing there was other thing inside the package "Wait, there's something else in here" he said taking a tape recorder from the package. Holy shit.

"What's that?" JJ asked

"Are you stupid?" Summer turned to look at him making Kie laugh

"It's a tape recorder, dumbass" Kie explained

John B pressed the play button and they were shocked at whose voice they heard "dear Bird"

"That's..."Summer trailed

"That's my dad, yeah" he looked at her with worried eyes. Summer looked at him and took his hand, he was living a nightmare right then and she wanted to assure him she was there for him, always.

"I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so, and you doubted your old ma. I suspect at this moment, you're filled with guilt and self-loathing over our last fight, but don't kill yourself just yet, kid" Summer noticed John b was trying to fight the tears and instead of just holding his hand, she wrapped her arms around him making him smile softly at her

"I didn't expect to find the Merchant either. You were probably right to call me out. Wasn't exactly father of the decade. What can I say, kid? I could smell the barn and hopefully you're listening to this in our brand new sugar-shack down in Costa Rica, livin' off passive investments and pulling on permits. If not, and you find this for less than optimal reasons, well, that's what the map is for. There she is, the wreck of the Merchant. If something happens to me, finish what I started. Go for the gold, kid. I love you bird, even if I didn't act always like it. I'll see you on the other side" Nobody knew what to say after what they heard on the tape. Good thing, Big John found the Merchant and they were going to get the gold. Bad thing, Big John was probably dead.

"Holy shit, he did it!" JJ was the first one to talk

"Shut up!" Summer yelled at him and wrapped her arms around John B, hugging him

He hid his face in her hair and hugged her tightly. Summer could hear his sobs and stood there, with him in her arms trying to calm him down.

"Sum" John B sobbed

"It's alright JB, I'm here" she took his head with her hand and smiled at him

John b rested his forehead on hers and sighed. This was, by far, the worst day of his life. A few more moments passed until John b calmed down a bit and stopped sobbing. He took Summer's hand and smiled at her.

"Do you want to go with the rest?" she asked him stroking his cheek

"Yeah" He nodded making his way to the porch, where the rest of his friends were now

A storm was coming again, they could hear the thunders in the distance. JJ and Pope were sitting down while Kie played the guitar. They had the gold, they were going to finish what Big John started.

"How much was it again?" JJ asked when John b and Summer joined them

"Four hundred mil" John b replied

"All right, let's talk the split" JJ said trying to lighten the mood "Now, before we saw evenly, may I remind you that I am the only one that can properly defend us from those groupers who were after us. Protection? Not cheap, okay" JJ told them making Summer roll her eyes

"If by protection you mean taking out the gun at any minor inconvenience and when we actually need it you don't have it, then yeah I guess" She laughed at him

"You haven't even trained" Pope told him

"YouTube, bro. That's at least a five percent bump right there" JJ said

"There's no way you can train on YouTube, J. There's no Internet on this side of the island" Summer told him

"Any more objections? Didn't think so" JJ said making everyone rolled their eyes at him

"What are you going to do with you 80 mil, Pope?" Kiara asked him

"Pay for college in advance and also textbooks, those are expensive" Pope said making them smile, he was going to become really successful

"And you Summer? What does a rich girl do when she is even richer?" JJ turned to the blonde girl

"I'm going to donate it. A part to help reconstruct the island after the hurricane. Some of it to some organisations and what's left I'm going to invest it" She answered

"So you are just going to become even richer" JJ acknowledged

"I'm going to donate most of it, J" she scoffed at him "What about you, Kie?" she turned to her friend

"Yeah, what does a socialist do when she's rich?" Pope jokingly asked her

"Just wanna make a double album. About OBX, the Pogues...you know the way Catch a fire is about Kingston. Record ir at Marley Studio, Peter Tosh producing" she explained

"Peter Tosh is dead" Pope told her

"Peter Tosh is dead, I know. But the spirit of Peter Tosh will never die" she told him

"I know what I'll do" JJ spoke up "I'm gonna get a big ass house on Figure Eight, probably next to Summer's so I can piss her off and go full Kook" JJ said proudly

"You're gonna go full Kook?" Kie laughed at him

"Yup. Gonna get a marble statue of myself, and then I'm gonna get a koi pond, put a bunch of those fish" JJ explained

"I'm never visiting" Kie laughed

"What are you gonna do, JB?" Pope asked him

John b stayed silent for a few moments, probably thinking what he was going to do with all that money. Suddenly, he took Summer's hand and smiled.

"To going full Kook" he raised his beer

"To going full Kook!" All of them cheered after him

Another day, another chapter. I'll try to update twice a day but I have a lot of work from school. Ugh!
