"Hey guys, so like, my dad's already gonna kill me. So what's this mandatory meeting about?" Pope asked as all the Pogues stood around the fire

"Might as well tell him before we're gaffed" John B passed an arm around Summer's shoulders and made finger guns at JJ "You ready for this?" John B asked Pope and Kie

"Yeah" Kie nodded impatiently

"So, the gold never went down with the Royal Merchant" John B said

"Oh my god, here we go again" Pope groaned

"It's true Pope" Summer said so the boy would hear John B out

"It's been here the whole time. It's on the island" John B informed them

"Are you serious?" Kie asked him obviously not believing anything he was saying

"Yeah" Summer nodded

"I'd like to voice my skepticism" Pope spoke up

"I'm sure you would Pope, but can I please present you with my evidence?" John B asked her. Summer could see how excited he was to finally make his friends believe him.

"Proceed" Pope nodded

"Alright so, in my backpack I have a letter from Denmark Tanny" John B said taking out the letter from his backpack

"Who the hell is that?" Kie asked him

"A slave that survived the Royal Merchant wreck" Summer informed as Kie looked at her. If Summer believed it, maybe John B was right.

"Here you go" John B handed Kie the letter "Okay, slaves weren't mentioned as crew members on the ship, but my dad, he found the complete manifest. That was his big discovery" John B explained

"Basically Tanny here used the gold from the Merchant to buy his freedom" Summer said

"After that, he bought his farm that is...please Sum" John B smiled down at Summer motioning her to continue

"Tannyhill plantation" She smiled

"Tannyhill?" Kie exclaimed

"Yeah, so, after that, he used his money to free even more slaves, and then he sold a shit ton of rice, which pissed of all the white planters, and then, they decided to Lynch him. SO on the day they were coming to get him, he writes a letter to his son as a farewell and in the last time of that letter, he leaves a coded message about where to find the gold" John B explained all he and Summer had discovered at Tannyhill

"Where?" Kie asked him

"Harvest the wheat in parcel nine, near the water. Except there's no wheat. You see, wheat is the code for gold. Check this out. The fold is in parcel nine, near the water" John B said taking the letter from Pope

"Holy shit dude" Pope whispered

"All we need is an original survey map of the property and we've found the gold" John B smiled excitedly. Summer loved seeing him like that, truly happy.

"Okay so, this might have a small chance of being actually true" Pope said

JJ jumped on John B and hugged him excitedly. Summer laughed at the interaction between the two boys, if only they could stay like that always, just all of them being happy.

"Okay so, what's the plan?" Pope asked

"Good question, so, Sarah Cameron's coming tonight. She's gonna bring the original survey map" John B explained but Summer noticed the look in Kie's face, she knew what was coming.

"Wait, hold on. Sarah? Why Sarah?" Kie asked

"Sarah got us into the archives at Chapel Hill yesterday" Summer looked at her

"That's where I got the map" John B said from beside the blonde

"You were in Chapel Hill with Sarah Cameron?" Kie asked, disgusto showing in her face

"No Kie, she gave me her trustee pass. Only John B and I went there" Summer tried calming the girl down

"Oh, so you were mackin'" JJ pointed out

"What?" Summer turned to look at him

"You totally were" JJ looked at Summer as she glared at him

"Did you tell her about the treasure?" Kie interrupted JJ and Summer

"We were just trying to get into the archives" John B tried to excuse himself

"Is that a yes?" Kie asked him clearly hurt

"I left out key details" John B defended himself

"You what? You let a Kook in our secret" What about Pogue Life? What about th T-shirt company?" Kie asked John B angrily

"Cut the crap Kie!" Summer exclaimed already sick of the girl "First of all, I'm a full Kook and I've been here the whole time and you are basically a kook too so just stop with the Kooks vs Pogues shit" Summer said angrily

"What--" Kie started but Summer cut her off

"No no no, you listen to me. Sarah Cameron is my best friend too, alright? I told John B to tell her everything and I know for a fact that we can trust her. Also she is the only one with access to the maps so we need her if we want the gold" Summer said angrily

"What did she do to you exactly?" JJ questioned Kie

"She's like a spitting cobra, first she blind you and then--" Kie said

"That is a bad analogy" Pope interrupted her

"Listen to me! Whatever we get, she's gonna try to take" Kie said making Summer scoff

The Pogues made it to Hawk's nest in silence, Summer didn't want to keep arguing with Kie and the rest didn't want to keep listening to two girls argue so they just stayed silent.

"We're going" Pope said opening the door of the van

"Recon mission" JJ said as he got out of the van after Summer

"I think you should go alone" Summer told John b

"What?" He asked her confused

"I'll stay here and try to convince them of the plan, plus I don't think Kie would like us both going up there with Sarah" Summer explained as she took the boys' hand

"Okay" John b sighed grabbing Summer's hand and kissing it softly

John b then took off to where they were supposed to meet with Sarah while Summer stayed with her friends.

"I just don't understand why we are involving her at all" Kie said

"It's not involving her Kie, we needed the map and she is the only one that can get it for us" Summer told her

"Kiara, holding to your grudge is like drinking poison and thinking Sarah will die" Pope intervened in the conversation

"Just give her an opportunity, Kie. That happened ages ago" Summer pleaded her friend

"I can't, I'm sorry Sum" Kie said making the blonde sigh

The four teens just stayed there listening to the thunders when they heard another car.

"Wait. Who is that?" Pope asked looking at the car

"Wait. That's my brother's car" Summer said looking at her brother parking the car

"What are they doing here?" Kie wondered

"They're probably going to get high as fuck. I guess it was Rafe's idea coming here" Summer shrugged

"Wait do you hear that?" JJ asked his friends after a few moments of silence

Okay so drama is coming. I really love Summer and Topper's relationship so writing next chapter is hurting me hahaha
