now driving away from the house ren couldn't help but smile, she knew he didn't mean it but her dad told her he loved her, that felt good.

the drive to where the phantom is was silent, other than jj reassuring them that it'll be fine.

"it'll be fine with the phantom, she'll get out quick," ren said,

cops were coming toward them which made ren hide behind a seat, jj duck down a little and kiara act normal.

"they're still looking. it's a good sign," kiara said.

once they arrived, they opened the door and saw the phantom, jj was more excited than ren was,

"there she be," he said about the boat,

"hey phantom! how are ya buddy?" ren asked getting up onto it,

"haven't seen you in a while," she rubbed the top of it,

"hey, girl," jj said

"a 1983 formula 402 SR1, the phantom," jj said,

"the first boat to make the run to bermuda in under 16 hours, kie," ren said,

"forty years old! forty," jj yelled a little,

"and still the fastest thing that kildare's ever seen," ren said,

"it's kind of a junker," kiara pointed out,

"excuse you kie, she's right here," ren said,

"really? she's right there kie, she can hear you!" jj took offence,

"let's just put it this way, you would not be smoking weed right now if she never existed, okay?" jj said again and ren nodded,

"i just hope it runs," kiara said,

"oh no she'll run alright," ren said getting down and walking to kie and jj.

"she's faster than any cutters the boys in blue got," jj agreed,

they heard a motorcycle in the distance so they assumed pope was back,

"pope. finally!" kiara said walking to the side of the boat.

but as she just reached it, came around the corner was rafe.

"hey, there. what's going on?" he asked which made ren turn to face him,

then walked out barry.

"oh fuck," ren sighed running a hand through her hair.

"jj? how you guys doin'? hey ren, you look nice," he smiled at her,

"well, well," barry said cocking his gun and pointing it at jj, ren stayed silent because she knew if she interfered he was going to shoot him, "you don't think i forgot about me and you on the side of the road?" he asked jj,

"i'm here, because i want my motherfucking money!" he yelled hitting jj,

"jj!" both kiara and ren yelled, kiara got pulled back by rafe but ren took a hard swing to barry's face, sending him back a little which gave her time to check on jj,
