i don't think people quite understand how much of a cage untreated adhd can be.
because it's not that "i'm not using a planner" or "i don't write down my tasks so i forget" or "i don't organize my work."
i do.
i hyper-organize, i hyper-plan.
i obsess.
my desk is littered with sticky notes,
my notebooks are filled with tasks and schedules,
my hands are covered in ink of reminders and to-do lists.
i break down every single task i get, no matter how small
into
a
million
little
tasks
just to make it easier to approach.
i'm drowning in journals and planners and calendars and notes
but it's pointless because
even
after
everything
i still don't know
where to begin
how to begin.
having adhd isn't being lazy,
i just can't begin.
