to re-experience the love, the hurt, the anger from a time that seems so lost from you
all you have to do is hear that song,
all it takes is a smell,
or even a memory of that smell,
a phantom in your nose
all it takes is someone's cologne or
sweater or
car
and all at once
it's like you're there,
back there,
back when everything happened
and you can feel it in your chest,
the tightening,
you can feel it
feel just like it did the first time
