It's River's birthday today he's 1 which is crazy, but it also means that it's been a year without Brooke, but I'm gonna try not to think about that, it's River's birthday were gonna have some fun.
I've been sober since the night after the party, I knew I had to get better for River and the new baby
"Hey buddy gotta wake up" I say walking into River's room. He stands up in his crib putting his arms in the air wanting me to pick him up. "Hey little man" I say picking him up
He hasn't said his first words yet, I was hoping he'd say them today
"River can you say Dada" I say carrying him to the living room and putting him in his high chair. "Come on just say it" I say. All he does is smile at me. "Whatever, you're lucky you're cute" I say getting him some food
