JJ's pov

It's been a few hours since me and Ashley went to the chateau and we were just sitting around talking. The pogues and me got to know Ashley a little more and found out her parents were never really there for her growing up and that, that's why she was scared to be a mom.

"Hey could you give me a ride home, I'm tired" Ashley wripsers to me

"Oh yeah sure, it's almost River's bedtime so" I say to her getting up

"You guys gonna go" Kie says sad because she's been hogging Kai all night

"Yes Kie that means I need my kid" I say to her taking Kai and putting him in the car seat

"Yeah he's just so cute" she says

"Don't wanna dadda" River says sitting up from John B's chest and rubbing his eyes

"Dude your practically asleep already, were leaving" I say grabbing him from John B knowing he's not gonna walk

"Bubbas comin?" He asks laying his head on my shoulder

"Yep he's coming to" I say. "Were gonna go home and your gonna go to bed" I say to him

"Read me story?" He asks

"Yes I'll read you a story" I say picking the car seat up with Kai in it while holding River

"Alright were see you tomorrow right" John B says standing up and patting my back

"Yeah I'll bring them over just tell me when" I say

"Alright, bye JJ, bye River and Kai" John B says waving at River

"Bye guys" the rest of the pogues say

"Bye" River says waving to the pogues as I carry him out the door

"Thanks for the ride" Ashley says as we pull up to her apartment

"Yeah of course I wasn't gonna let you walk you just had a baby" I say

"Yeah and thank you for forgiving me, and letting me be in Kai's life" she says looking at Kai and River asleep in the back

"Yeah I wasn't gonna be the asshole who let's my son grow up without his mom. I'm already gonna watch River grow up without his I didn't want the same for Kai" I say looking at the boys

"I'm not going anywhere, I promise" Ashley says

"Thank you" I say

"I better go, so you can get River to sleep, he's knocked out" she says exiting the car

"Would you like to come over tomorrow to spend time with Kai" I say out the window

"Um no I've got a lot of shopping to do my apartment is no where near ready for a baby" she says

"Yeah your probably right, I'll see you around Ashley" I say

"Bye JJ" she says walking to the door

"Alright it's just me you now boys, let's go home" I say driving away

"Hey buddy" I say to River when he opens his eyes as I'm unbuckling him form the car seat

"Hi daddy" he says tired

"You wanna go to sleep in your bed" I say picking him up, walking to the other side to get Kai

"Yeah my story" he says almost going back to sleep on my shoulder

"River your gonna be asleep before I can even start the story" I say walking inside holding River and the car seat

"No I listen to story" he says after I put down in the living room
