The sun was slowly coming up onto the island, the moon setting as the black sky turned into it's original blue color, a few white clouds beginning to form. The chirps of birds filled the air, along with the crashing of the blue waves as they hit the rocks that laid in the soft, brown sand. The beach was still empty, as it was still rather early in the morning for everyone in the cut.

Rafe's blue eyes stared down at Y/n's sleeping figure, hands running through her soft h/c locks. Both wore almost bare, the girl's bra and underwear and the boy's underwear keeping them covered. Luckily, if anyone decided to walk along the beach, no one would see them as a large rock covered them up. They also happened to be a in rather secluded spot that hardly anyone ever goes to.

The Cameron boys held a soft smile on his lips, watching as the girl shifts in his arms, her beautiful e/c eyes fluttering open. Almost instantly, Y/n squints at the light of the sun, rubbing her eyes as she glances up at the Kook that was holding her. A tired smile immediately plays on her face.

"Hi." Y/n whispers, resting her chin on his bare chest.

Rafe smiles. "Hey."

The girl finds herself leaning up as he finds himself leaning down, their lips meeting half way into a passionate kiss. The boy's grip slightly tightens on her as their lips move together in sync. The kiss was full of passion and love, making Y/n's heart flutter even more than it already was when she met him the night before.

"I should probably go." Y/n tells him against his lips.

Rafe instantly shakes his head. "No, don't leave. Not yet."

He presses his lips to hers again, cupping her red and flushed cheeks, the pad of his thumbs caressing her skin, occasionally swiping over her jaw. Though she wanted to stay like this forever, Y/n knew she had to get back home before her family got suspicious. Pressing her hand against Rafe's chest, she slightly pulls back to look him in the eyes.

"My family's gonna get suspicious if they don't find me in my room." Y/n reminds, making the boy groan a little which makes her let out a giggle.

Hearing her soft and cute giggle, the boy looks into her eyes with... love that Y/n couldn't help but notice. A gentle smile played on his lips again as he stared at her.

"I really did miss you, you know?" Rafe murmurs, moving a bit of her hair and tucking it behind her ear.

Y/n nods a little. "I know... now. I'm sorry I didn't call or text you, I just... I thought--"

"Kooks and Pogues aren't meant to be together." Rafe finishes, nodding as he knew what she was gonna say.

"Yeah." Y/n agrees in a whisper.

Rafe shakes his head, pecking her lips. "I don't care about that anymore. I just want you and only you."

The girl couldn't help but smile at his words, glancing down at the sand, her fingers playing with it as she felt her cheeks flush even more.

"Rafe?" Y/n begins, receiving a hum. "We-- We can't tell anybody. If we do, they'll just... keep us apart. And I don't want that."

Rafe nods. "I don't either. And I won't. I promise I won't tell a soul."

Staring into each other's eyes, the couple lean in once again, pressing their lips against one another's.

Later in the day, after dispersing from Rafe, Y/n found herself sitting in the back of her father's truck, her brother and father in front of her. All three of them wore the same shirts with an apron around them as they were serving the many Kooks for the Midsummers. Neither of the two Pogues wanted to be on Figure Eight surrounded by Kooks, more Pope than Y/n.
