My safe place

Well everyone was cheering and hugging eachother I couldn't help but feel sad but happy at the same time. I felt myself looking down into my lap well I was still in the car. Tears were starting to form in my eyes. I was so happy that I was finally free from Rafe and I found a group of friends who cared deeply about eachother. Even with all this joy I couldn't help but feel sad. I lost everything but gained such a beautiful thing and that's scary.

I mean if you asked me a year ago I would probably expect me and Rafe to still be together. Still have a good relationship with my parents but if that was true I would never have met JJ. I was in so much pain mentally and physically I couldn't stop from crying.

JJs POV

As I was smiling and laughing that I finally had justice for my bestfriend. I couldn't help but to think about how y/n was. I was supposed to meet her this morning.

"Yo bro so you got a girlfriend huh"John b said laughing shoving me. I raised my eyebrow how did he know?

"Wait how do you know" I asked him giving him a confused look.

"Y/n she gave me a ride here she's in the car" he told me and then I started walking to the car.

"Hey wait man" John b said grabbing my arm he looked concerned and I looked at him confused.

"She's in rough shape, Rafe took a beating on her. It took 3 police officers to get him away from her" he told me my heart started to race. As I jogged over to her jeep and opened the door to see her.

She was sitting in the car her head looking down well she cried. When I opened the door she turned to me and looked at me with the most heartbreaking look.

I stood still looking at her she was covered in bruises and dried up blood.

Y/ns pov

I heard my car door open when I looked up to see JJ. He looked like he felt so sorry for me and guilty for Leaving me.

"Y/n I'm so sorry I should have came last night" JJ said looking me up and down well he kept staring at my new and old scars I had from rafe.

"It's okay JJ" I told him putting my hand on his face "I'm happy if your happy and nobody should be in prison for someone else's mistake" I told him going to get out of the car trying to hide the pain but it was to hard.

JJ put my arm around his shoulder as he helped me inside and brought me to his bedroom.

"I'm okay JJ but thank you" I told him laying on the bed "do you think we can just lay here for a little bit" I asked grabbing his arm.

He nodded as he layed down and I put my head on his chest.

"I can't go home JJ" I told him well I was fidgeting with my fingers and he played with my hair.

"Why y/n did something happen" he asked looking down at me.

"My mom cared more about my reputation then me" I told him starting to sniffle "I'm never going back there JJ" I told him trying not to cry.

"Y/n you don't have to I will keep you safe I promise" JJ told me well I slowly fell asleep in his arms.

As I drifting asleep he whispered in my ear "I love you y/n grace" I smiled as we fell asleep this is where I felt safe.
