"Y/n!" Wheezie called me.

I had come out of my room that day, with Rafe watching my every move. Even though the front door was calling to me, I never went through it. I came down the stairs, running my hand on the bannister. I walked to the lounge room, where Wheezie was. I could feel the cold floor through my socks as I walked toward her and sat on the couch.

I hoped that Wheeze wouldn't ask about Rafe. It was something I was asking myself, too.

Wheezie moved toward me and hugged me. "Thank you for being here." After a moment, I put my hands on her back. What was she thanking me for? "With Sarah gone, everyone's been in a bad place." She sniffled. I knew I could never replace Sarah, but for now, I was good enough. "Rafe needs help." She pulled away from me as I stared at her, wide-eyed. "Help him, please." My hands shook as I nodded.

Rafe was a killer. How could I help him?

"It's Rose's birthday tomorrow and there's going to be a party," Wheezie said. "You should be there."

I smiled at her, but then I thought of the clothes that Rafe had put for me. "I don't have anything to wear."

Wheezie rolled her eyes. "I'm sure Sarah has something you can wear."

"Yeah." I took that moment to grab Wheezie's phone and slipped it into my pocket. I needed to tell Sarah what was going to happen.

I set off to find Rafe. He was going to be wondering where I went. I knew Ward and Rose were out for an early birthday dinner so, I wandered around the house, looking for Rafe. Every time I passed the front door, I stared at it, but never opened it.

But what would it matter if I said Rafe was a killer? Where was my proof? Kie already said that they tried explaining to Shoupe, but he didn't listen. It would be the same for me. The only way John B would be freed is if Rafe admitted it himself.

Help him.

I heard talking in one of the rooms. I didn't know what room this was so I opened it. I froze.

It was the gym room.

Rafe and Kelce were inside, talking. I saw Rafe sleeping on a weight bench and putting down the weight on the stand when he heard the door open. Kelce looked at me, stunned. He asked confusedly, "Y/n?" I ignored him.

Rafe sat up, presenting his glowy back. It curved and shadowed muscles. Clear droplets were running down his neck and skin.

GET OUT.

But like always, my body never listened to my mind. So I just stood there, not being able to tear my eyes away. Rafe was breathing heavily, not caring about who opened the door, his whole body moved up and down. Kelce was looking at Rafe with his eyebrow raised. Rafe finally turned back and when he saw me, his eyes trailed to my neck. I had worn a jacket so I could cover the marks. He smirked and stood up, revealing his full height. He strode toward me in long slow steps. I felt like a mouse. His chest glistened under the light and his hair curled with moisture.

Rafe stood in front of me and reached behind me. He lowered down to whisper in my ear, "I need that towel behind you."

His voice made me shiver, even though he was radiating so much heat. He retreated to his full height and pulled the towel that was hung behind me. He raised his eyebrow as I watched him wipe the towel through his hair. When I saw Kelce staring at me with raised eyebrows, my legs finally moved to the door.

I closed the door behind me and my legs gave out. I slid down the door and rested my head against it. I could hear Kelce and Rafe speaking.

"Why's y/n here?" Kelce asked and I heard metal hitting together.
