Secret

A smile came to your face when you heard the front door open. Immediately you got out of bed and rushed to the living room. Your smile grew when you saw your boyfriend JJ standing in the doorway.

"Finally."

You jumped in his arms and hugged him tightly. You haven't held him in what felt like ages. "God, I missed you" he whimpered, pressing a kiss on your neck. I missed you too."

You and JJ were happily in a relationship for 4 months now. But there was one problem. No one knew about it. Especially not the Pogues. John B was your big brother, which is why you couldn't tell anyone.

So when you and JJ finally confessed your feelings to each other, you had to keep it a secret. At first, it was really exciting. Sneaking around, hanging out secretly. But after a while, it became harder and harder. The physical desire toward each other became stronger and sometimes you couldn't contain yourself anymore, aching for his touch.

But tonight you were home alone. It was Saturday and John B went to Sarah, so you had the whole chateau to yourself. Perfect for doing a little 'self-care' as you told your brother. To be honest, it was self-care. Hanging out with JJ always made you feel better. He made you feel better.

You were ripped out of your thoughts when JJ gently laid you down on the couch. "I waited all day to put my hands on you" he smirked. You smiled and kissed him. Without breaking the kiss you removed his jacket. His shirt followed shortly after. For a second you admired his gorgeous chest, his abs perfectly visible.

JJ noticed you staring and smiled. "Like what you see, princess?" You nodded. "Very much." JJ pressed his lips against yours again. He pushed your shirt up, ready to take it off. It easily slipped over your head. This time, JJ admired you. You smirked. "Like what you see?" you imitated him.

JJ laughed. "I do." He didn't hesitate to kiss you again. His lips moved to your neck, lightly sucking on your skin.

Suddenly, the door swung open. "JJ jezus, don't bring your hook-" John B stood in the doorway and watched JJ making out with some girl. He wanted to lecture him again that he didn't want JJ with his hook-ups on his couch until he saw that this 'hook-up' was his little sister.

"What the fuck!" He called out angry.

His harsh voice startled you and the both of you got up immediately. You instantly put your shirt back on and threw JJ his. He put his shirt quickly over his head. Your cheeks burned up, this was the moment you wanted to avoid for so long. This wasn't how you wanted John B to find out.

"John B, I can explain-" Before you could explain the situation, he cut you off. "What the fuck were you doing? Were you making out? With my fucking best friend? Come on Y/n!" He yelled in your face. He was absolutely furious. But you understood it. His best friend with his sister, it was pretty weird.

"Hey man, don't be too hard on her. We both-" JJ tried, but he was also interrupted. "Really JJ, out of all chicks you choose my fucking sister? You wanted to just fuck her on my fucking couch?!" JJ swallowed, feeling guilty. He knew that this was bad, but he couldn't help it. He really liked you. "I didn't choose her. We're..." He hesitated.

You grabbed his hand. "John B we love each other." He shook his head in disbelief. "How long has this been going around?" You swallowed and glanced a look at JJ. He nodded. "About 4 months."

His eyes widened. "I can't believe this. You two are absolutely horrible." Before you could say anything, he walked out and slammed the door shut.

It was quiet for a moment. You felt tears welling up in your eyes. His words hit hard and you didn't want to hurt him. JJ rubbed your arms. "He'll come around." You nodded, but the tears still escaped your eyes.

"Hey, it's okay." JJ wrapped his arms around you and leaned your head in his chest. "It's not your fault, you know that right?" You nodded again. You believed JJ, although it did feel like your fault. You lied to your brother for 4 months. And now he was mad at you.

It was a few days later and you haven't heard anything from John B. It worried you as hell. Your brother and you had a very strong bond, so a few days without talking was a lot for you. You have never been without each other for so long.

You tried to reach out for him, but he ignored all your and JJ's texts and calls.

Sarah texted you that he was safe at her house, but still. You just wanted to hug your brother and hear him say that everything was alright.

Since John B caught you an JJ, you couldn't think about anything else. JJ tried to help you get your mind off it, but it didn't help. All you could think about was that you've been lying and betraying your brother for months. And that made you feel really guilty.

Right now, you sat under blanket on the couch staring out of the window. Thinking. Overthinking, actually. When all of a sudden, you felt someone come and sit next to you, you looked up.

"Here."

JJ handed you a cup of thee. With a smile you thanked him, before staring back out of the window. A hand fell on your thigh. "Baby, stop worrying. You know he'll come around. He's your brother." You looked down and nodded.

You wanted to say anything, before the door swung open. When you saw who was standing in the doorway, you instantly stood up.

"John B."

"We need to talk."

Nervously you sat down. You, John B, and JJ all three positioned on the couch. It was silent for a moment. Until you broke that.

"I wanted to apologize," you begin, "I know we never should've lied to you, that was wrong I'm sorry." JJ nodded in agreement. "Yeah we know that, sorry" he added.

"But we can't help that we really like each other JB. For these past 4 months were finally happy." You gave JJ a small smile.

John B nodded. "I have to say sorry too. I think I overreacted a bit." You shook your head. "But, if you're happy, then I'm happy for you."

Surprised you looked up. Did he just say that? Did he approve it? "Really?" He nodded. JJ looked at you and smiled, he didn't expect it either.

"Oh my gosh, thank you." You stood up and gave your brother a big hug. "I love you" you said quietly. "Love you too."

JJ gave John B a bro hug. "But," John B started, "if you break her heart, I will kill you." JJ chuckled and nodded. "That's okay."

"Oh, and if you two break up, neither of you leave the friend group and won't make it awkward or I'll also kill you" John B threatened. You laughed. "Of course."

Finally, you were fully happy, the relationship with your brother was restored and you and JJ didn't have to keep your relationship a secret anymore. It was a huge relief.
